Exquisite Egypt’s tour guide will meet you at your hotel from where you will leave for the North Islamic symmetry. The tour will start in the northern part of Cairo where you will get to see two gates which were built towards the end of the 10th Century AD among them Bab Al-Nasr (gate of victory), a massive fortified gate with rectangular stone towers flanking the semi-circular arch of the eastern portal; one of three remaining gates in the walls of the Old Islamic City of Cairo. Bab Al-Futuh (conquest gate) is located on Muizz Street. You will also see Vikal of Kaytbay which was built during the Mamluk Era in 15th Century AD but currently under renovation. Al-Hakim Mosque which neighbours the Vikal was built during the 10th Century AD during the Fatimid Caliphate. You will then proceed to Bayt Al-Syhami (House of Al-Syhami), an Islamic themed house and museum in Cairo, originally built in 1648 by Abd-el-Wahab al-Tablawy, and purchased by Sheikh Ahmed El-Syhami in 1796, whose family held it for several subsequent generations. You will enjoy a walk through El Muizz Street as we head to Sabil and Kuttab Suleiman Agha Al-Silihdar and the Mosque of Al-Akmar at Tumbaksha Street. Both are Fatimid structures. From here you will cross Al-Azhar Street and continue walking through Al-Muizz Street (south part), to visit Al-Azhar Mosque, Al-Ghori Vikal, the Mosque of Mohamed Abo Al-Dahab ending by the Fatimid Gate, Bab Zweila, Khiamaya (quarter of tent manufactures). You will have lunch at Abo-Shakraa Restaurant at Khan El-Khalili after which we will take you back to your hotel.
