Exquisite Egypt representative will meet and transfer you from Safaga to Cairo while your cruise is waiting in Safaga Port. Upon arrival, you will be received by an Egyptologist tour guide and start your tour at the Egyptian Museum which exhibits a collection of over 120,000 treasured masterpieces, dating back to the ancient Egyptian and Greco-Roman period including the marvelous collection of the young King Tutankhamen. You will then have your lunch at a good quality restaurant and then proceed to visit the Great Pyramid of Kings Cheops, the pyramids of Chephren, and Menkaure as well as The Sphinx, which represents the head of the Pharaoh with a lion’s body, and dates back to the time of Chephren. The Great Pyramid of King Cheops the only remaining wonder among the seven wonders of the ancient world. You will then visit the valley temple which is part of the Pyramid of Chephren, and served two functions: first, it was used for the purification of the mummy of the king before its burial. Secondly, it is here the mummification process of the king was done. You will get to enjoy a camel ride around these great structures. You will then head to Khan El Khalil Bazaar, the largest of its kind in the Middle East. As you walk through its narrow streets you will find workshops and stalls selling all manner of souvenirs ranging from woodwork, glassware and leather goods to perfumes, fabrics and Pharaonic curios. You will then be driven back to Safaga Port to join your cruise.
